In fact, there are some superstitions that you could choose to ignore when it comes to your own wedding! Are you aware of what they are?

We believe that every couple should plan their big day as they would like! That’s why, here at Weddings by Gail, as Oklahoma City wedding planners, we have gathered some wedding superstitions that you can ignore. Would you like to discover what these superstitions are? If so, be sure to continue reading:

No Peeking. Back in the day, couples weren’t supposed to see each other before their wedding ceremony, so that the groom didn’t have a chance to change his mind and run from the wedding. So, over time, this concept has been maintained, as most couples choose to follow this tradition. However, if you and your partner are in love, you should be confident in your relationship. So, seeing each other certainly shouldn’t pose as issue!
Forgo the Yellow Roses. During the Victorian era, yellow roses were said to symbolize jealousy. So, it was highly frowned upon to utilize them for weddings! Therefore, these lovely blooms were certainly a no-go for wedding floral arrangements. However, it’s your big day, and if you love yellow roses, give them your own special meaning, and let them be a part of your happily ever after.
Don’t Drop the Rings! Tradition states that if someone drops a wedding ring during the ceremony, it meant that person would die. Frightening, right? Obviously, this is a very dramatic superstition that certainly shouldn’t be believed! However, to be on the safe side, consider having a ring bearer securely present your rings to you and your partner at the altar.
Your wedding doesn’t have to be daunted by superstitions! These are just a few that you can ignore when it comes to your own big day.
