So often we sit down with our couples to discuss their vision for their wedding day. Recently I celebrated my wedding anniversary with the man I have happily called my husband for 35 years. We decided to have a big party and invite our friends. Here is how my vision of a Greek inspired theme party came to life. Guests were greeted with waitstaff passing glasses of champagne. I used lots of white sheer voile draping down the corridor of the entrance going toward the cocktail hour space. Then more

draping at the entrance to the main ballroom and draping behind the sweetheart table.  An added addition of Greek Gods and Goddess Bust on pedestals and along the long head tables added a bit of drama.  The velvet table linens on the guests table and bistro tables added luxury to the room as well as deep navy blue taffeta wave linens on the two long head tables.  I opt to forgo a traditional sweetheart table and cake table design, by using glass and mirrors for these tables.  This and a white dance floor added to the already modern look in Aloft Hotel main ballroom.  Mirror and glass chargers enhanced the table setting and created glamour.   Each table was pinspot to highlight each setting. We worked with some of our favorite vendors like @RootstockFloralDesigns for table florals, @Signature Bakery for our stone-look cake, the fabulous  Lamont Carlis, the Dapper DJ/MC from Carlis Enterprise DJ Services out of Dallas, Mirror Mirror  for our photobooth, Casinos of Oklahoma for our Casino Table entertainment, Photos by Bryan C for our photographer, Diamond Labor Solutions for staffing.  Aloft Hotel Downtown Okc provided our venue space and the food was unbelievable.  Starting with Shrimp Cocktail Shooters, Fruit Skewers w/Honey Yogurt Dip served from modern display shelves and waitstaff passed Mac & Cheese Bites and Chicken Skewers w/Teriyaki.  For Dinner we had Braised Short Ribs, Chef Signature Salad. Sauteed Green Beans and Garlic Mashed Potatoes.  The pièce de résistance to our dinner was the Chef’s Turtle Cheesecake!  Champagne and wine was flowing all night.   We open the drapes of the room to reveal a beautiful view of the Oklahoma downtown skyline at night.  This gave a magical feel to the room.  It was such a wonderful party and a beautiful way to celebrate our love story.  Here are some photos of how this vision came to life.  Hope you enjoy!
